Happy go lucky

I've learned carnatic violin for 4 years but I've never played something this way out of my league. This is the first time I ventured to participate in the WM solo instrumentals held this year in IITM and i must say i was amazed at myself. My friend Neta came to my room the day before the event saying we have to do something . So we put fight heard and learned the notes in some three or four hours and voila . You can see that I'm sitting in a weird posture neither carnatic nor western . The violin was shaking in my hands as i was playing . Though i faltered towards the end i somehow managed to pull it off. I'm playing the piece from the album Toss the Feathers by Corrs . With me is Neta on the guitar. All in all it went well for a rookie performance.

It's a pity

Well here it goes . My first official blog . Well coming to think of it i wonder why people blog . Is it a way to relieve themselves of the vexing and compulsive urge to express themselves or is it just to display their prodigal skills or merely on a whim or to pass time .

Some people blog just so that they don't feel missed out from the so called hot and happening which in turn tend to popularize blogs (which is a good thing by the way). While there are others who are tentative and believe they can improve their skills in English by blogging . Some people feel they are not able to showcase their talents in public and resort to blogging as an alternate medium of expression . And i know people who blog just to prove a point . Well anyways you know what i mean . None of us are here for charity . It's mostly for personal reasons . And that's what i believe this place is all about. So "happy blogging" to all of us .


But i shouldn't just generalize . Some of those bloggers have done a remarkable job in popularizing this community through some of the most amazing write-ups that I've seen and is the reason why i decided to join this community . Some of them are extremely talented and can even give the professionals a run for their money . Keep going you guys and let us take solace in the fact that you are there to maintain the balance . Man i tell you good blogs are hard to find . Kudos to you . And on that note i end my first blog .
